✯ George Washington's Rules ✯

Yesterday I was reading George Washington's "Rules of Civility and Decent Behavior in Company and Conversation." and here are some that I liked.
(I did not do all of them but they are all very good and if you haven't read them you really should so many of them still apply in like today!)
Also so many of them we no longer think of as important, like number 10 (that I do all the time).
Well hope you like them and here are the rest if you care to read.

2 When in company, put not your hands to any part of the body not usually discovered.

6 Sleep not when others speak; sit not when others stand; speak not when you should hold your peace; walk not on when others stop.

7 Put not off your clothes in the presence of others, nor go out your chamber half dressed.

10 When you sit down, keep your feet firm and even; without putting one on the other or crossing them.

38 In visiting the sick, do not presently play the physician if you be not knowing therein.

40 Strive not with your superior in argument, but always submit your argument to others with modesty.

53 Run not in the streets, neither go too slowly, nor with mouth open; go not shaking of arms, nor upon the toes, nor in a dancing [damaged manuscript].

65 Speak not injurious words neither in jest nor earnest; scoff at none although they give occasion.

73 Think before you speak; pronounce not imperfectly, nor bring out your words too hastily, but orderly and distinctly.

82 Undertake not what you cannot perform but be careful to keep your promise.

89 Speak not evil of the absent, for it is unjust.

91 Make no show of taking great delight in your the table; neither find great delight in your victuals; feed not with greediness; eat your bread with a knife; lean not on the table; neither find fault with what you eat.

100 Cleanse not your teeth with the tablecloth, napkin, fork, or knife; but if others do it, let it be done without a peep to them.

109 Let your recreations be manful not sinful.

Yippie!!

My Shasta Daisy just bloomed! I am very excited!
A very sweet friend gave me a packet of Shasta Dasie seeds two years ago and it bloomed last year for the first time.
This year had been eagerly waiting for it to bloom again, and here it is!!!

I will put up more photos when the rest bloom.

I love spring!!!

I got tired of just doing that "30 day thing", and decided to show you something interesting instead, so hear are some wonderful flowers that are blooming in our yard this spring.

Day 23: A way in which you want to be remembered.

I would like to be remembered as fun.
I would like people (especially my family) to remember that I was always up for a party and that I would always play a game with them.

I guess I will have to go play some games and be really fun!

I don't really know why I am supposed to do this, but I will because I don't see any harm in it. But I really wonder, WHY?

Day 21: Something you know you do differently than most people.

Well I think differently than anyone else I know,
and
I play soccer differently than anyone else I know,
and
I talk differently than anyone else I know,

But I think the thing that I do the most differently is spell, I spell like no one you have ever met.

I have many many many hobbies, and I will not bore you with them all just assume that I like to do most anything I try.

Day 19: A Talent Of Yours

To tell the truth I don't really now what my talent is. I like to sew, and I think I'm okay at that but it needs work. I like to do all kinds of things, but I could be better at them. Well I'm going to say that my talent is soccer, that doesn't mean that I am the best at it, I k now a LOT of people that are better than I am, but I think it is my favorite thing to do, and I have noticed that the things that you love - you are better at.

Day 18: A time when you felt passionate and alive.

Well I think this is a hard one but I think that one time I felt "passionate and alive" was when I would run across the fields at our granddad's farm.
I loved that place probably more than any other place in the world!
