Evanlyn

Which character from the Ranger's Apprentice series are you?

Evanlyn
Evanlyn is really Cassandra, the stubborn princess of Araluen. She is familiar with politics and military strategies, but not survival skills, until she gets her hands on a sling, then she provers herself to be a skillful fighter.

If you've never read the Ranger's Apprentice series this will mean nothing to you, but I think my two very favorite characters in Ranger's Apprentice are Horace and Evanlyn so I liked the test. *smile*

Tigger!

I've always liked Tigger! If I had turned out to be Eeyore or Piglet I would not have posted about it.
(Sorry to all the Eeyores and Piglets out there) Hey! at least Eeyore and Piglet got names; unlike Owl, Rabbit and Gopher.

Jessica said I'm a lot like Rabbit too and I sighed with relief when I didn't come out as him! I like Rabbit and all but what do you think of when you think of Rabbit? The grouchy one who's not any fun.

Anyway I'm glad I turned out to be Tigger. He's funny and plus I found a picture of him with a soccer ball which is awesome!

Which Pooh Bear Charcter are you?
Tigger

Hyper Active- Tigger is extremely hyper active with a lot energy. Tigger is very up beat and wanting to go. Always ready for the next adventure.

I had fun too!

I know that  everyone in my family has already posted pictures of when we went rappelling with some friends but I had fun too and wanted to post the pictures along with the best of them so here are a bunch more for you to look at.

I have to say that I loved the felling of being completely scared!
When I was up at the top ready (or not so ready) to jump off Erin said I was whimpering, and I know that my legs were shaking. But I loved it so much!
I would do it again in an instant and I guess prof that you liked something is if you will do it again.

I'm a violin

I did this thing a long time ago and remembered it the other day.
I looked it back up to see what it said about me. These goofy 'tests' doesn't usually get very close to what you're really like
This one is very close, so I'll let you look at it.

Erin and I were fighting debating the yesterday over whether or not Edmond in 'The voyage of the Dawn Treader' says he's tired of playing second fiddle or... I don't know what Erin thought he said, something that didn't make any since. Just kidding!(It's a twin thing)
 Anyway it made me think of this thing. If that doesn't make any since then I'm sorry; I got off on a rabbit trail.
I'd better stop now.

What Orchestral Instrument are You?
Violin
You embody the essence of being human. You are incredibly sympathetic to the full spectrum of emotions. You like to personally express your thoughts on what it means to be human; when you do, others listen because your voice is so compelling. You can be introspective as well as highly social. You work hard and you are committed to greatness. However, you can be so hard working that you often tend toward competition. Consequently, you can be very high strung. Sometimes being “second fiddle” is hard for you to accept – perhaps quite literally? – and while this can be a motivating force for self-improvement, it can often be quite damaging in your personal relationships. Some advice for you is this: every once and a while, take a step back (or a half-step down, as the case may be) from being so tightly wound and high strung. More relaxed, you can then be free to strengthen the warmth, vitality, and deep thought which are characteristic of your personality.

I wanted to write and finish a book!

 "If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be.

Now put the foundations under them."

~Henry David Thoreau~

I've been trying to finish a book for years. Any book; small, big, it really didn't matter just finish something! Starting is easy but finishing is much, much harder.
Last March Jess told me that she had found a company that publishes books and they were having a contest. It was free to enter and all you had to do was write a complete book.
I hardly even listed to what she was talking about and when she was done I said 'yeah that sounded was cool, but I wasn't going to do it'.
The next week we went on vacation to a lake house. (The first week of April.) The day after we got back I started writing. I wrote non stop all through April and May. At night I fell asleep while typing words in my head and, I'm not kidding, while I walked my dog every thought I had was slowed down because I was mentally typing every letter of every word. (Fortunately I didn't do that while I was talking).
Anyway I kept at it and for the first time ever I finish! Thanks to a lot of willing family members who helped edit and edit and edit. I entered it in the contest in June. And I didn't win. I didn't come close!
But I had finished and that was the best thing I could have done.
Daddy bought a printed copy of my book for me because he is an awesome Dad! And the next week I started on another book. Erin walked in and asked me what I was doing; when I told her she looked surprised. "Again?"
I stared at her for a moment then asked her what she was doing.
"Playing the violin."
"Again?"
She understood what I was saying.

I love it when I'm in the middle of a good book and no matter what I'm doing, always, at the back of my mind is the thought of that book and I look forward to when I can go back and read a little more of it.
Writing is just like that for me. I always know, at the back of my mind, that I have a story waiting for my; and the best part is I get to decide exactly what happens next!

What I Live for

I Live for those who love me,
Whose hearts are kind and true;
For the heaven that smiles above me,
And awaits my spirit, too;
For all human ties that bind me,
For the task my God assigned me,
For the bright hopes left behind me,
And the good that I can do.

I live to learn their story,
Who suffered for my sake;
To emulate their glory,
And follow in their wake;
Bards, patriots, martyrs, sages,
The noble of all ages,
Whose deeds crown History’s pages,
And Time’s great volume make.

I live to hail that season,
By gifted minds foretold,
When man shall live by reason,
And not alone by gold;
When man to man united,
And every wrong thing righted,
The whole world shall be lighted
As Eden was of old.

I live for those who love me,
For those who know me true;
For the heaven that smiles above me,
And awaits my spirit, too;
For the cause that needs assistance,
For the wrongs that need resistance,
For the future in the distance,
And the good that I can do!

The way I read a book!

   Erin says I procrastinate about reading. I love reading but for some reason I never can seem to just sit down and do it.
I start by reading the back cover.
Then the inside cover.
I read about the author and the titles of every chapter if it has titles and I get very upset if it does not.
   Then I go so far as to look at the year it was copy righted.
What categories it is filed under.
Who the publisher is.
Then I read the dedication (I really don't like it when the author doesn't tell you who the person is. Like- "To Amanda" or "For you Rusty". I like it when they say something- "To Josh my amazing and patient husband" of "For Luke my sweet son who has never liked to read."
   Anyway...
Then I might go so far as to go down to Jessica's room and ask her if she could just tell me what happens. (I don't handle suspense very well.)
But of course Jess want tell me.
And with that I read the first wards of the book.
 And with most books from that moment, until I read the last words, I can't put it down."

These are the last pictures from my movie

The last pictures from filming!
They were just so cute I had post them.

My twin and I. Don't we look just alike?!

Emily helped take some pictures during the filming and go a lot of great pictures for me.

My two little sweet hearts were so good even when I needed them to go out on hot days in those hot costumes.

Beautiful!!!

These are the sights that I look forward to everyday and I am amazed at even after sixteen years of seeing them.

We were sitting at the table eating dinner and I saw the orange light come into the sky. I jumped up and ran out the back door, because no matter what is going on I have to take the time to look at the sunset!
It's my favorite time of day and I will always feel more happy, more alive, and more blessed every time I get to see the sunset!

The Small Things!

Well, to start out I have this notebook that I like to put all my school papers in;  I pull in out everyday, sometimes two or three times in one day. Well I've been using it for quite some time now and the binding was falling apart, the cardboard that makes it stiff was bent down and the red plastic was pealing off. But I just kept using it not bothering to look for a new one. The other day I pulled it out while Mommy was in the room. We laughed at it and she said something in passing about getting me another one. Well, I didn't give another thought for the rest of the day, or the next, but the day after that I walked into my room and found a new red notebook, just like my old one, on my bed. Mommy had found if for me.
It doesn't sound like much, but I just loved the fact that she had thought about me and remembered that I needed that note book and had taken the time to get it to me. I was reminded again what a great life I have and what a great family I live in!

Thanks for the notebook Mommy!
