My bestest friend!

Erin and I went out and filmed some scenes with Jessica the other night and I was reminded once again how much I love Erin!
She and I got to just have fun (at Jessica's expense) for a whole hour and it was so awesome!
Erin would say things that were just crazy, and it was funny for me watching the footage latter because I never even look at her. I just kept saying my lines and correcting her lines.
I've been with her almost constantly for sixteen years and lot of time I take it for granted how much joy she bring into my life. So for once I just took the time to thing about how great being a twin is and how much Erin gets me to think outside of my schedule and see that it's okay if I don't get dinner on the table right at 6:00 because no one's going to hold it against me.
So anyway this was just something that I though I would take the time to write because I love my twin sister so much!

Well Bye,
®achel

P. S.
No you can not find the word "Bestest" in the dictionary. It is a new word created by Michael, just for special occasion.

The first day of filming my movie!

Jamie is the princess and I work for her. If you look closely you can see the patches on my dress.

Emily helped my out with the filming because I was in this scene. Thank you Em!

It was outside but thankfully it was a cooler day and we found a shady spot so everyone stayed happy while we filmed!

Jamie did an awesome job! She knew her lines better and I did and I wort the script.

Sarah came out for the whole time and was in charge of cheering us on.
We had a lot of fun and got a lot filmed!

Watering the Garden

These are just a few pictures of Michael in the garden. He loves to water and dose a really good job.
Just don't get to close to him or it will be to much of a temptation for him and you will get soaked.
(I found that out last night.)

And if he dose spray you don't try to get him back.
(It makes him very unhappy and he still has the hose)

Just look at the grin on that face. Nothing but trouble!

Secure what we can

Day 173

"If a positive declaration of some essential rights could not be obtained in the requesite latitude, the answer is. Half a loaf is better than no bread.
If we cannot secure all our rights, let us secure what we can."

Day 170

~Abigail Adams to John Adams~
The day after the Battle of Breads and Bunker hill.

Dearest Friend
Sunday June 18 1775

The Day, perhaps the decisive Day is come on which the fate of America depends. My bursting Heart must find vent at my pen. I have just heard that our Dear Friend Dr. Warren is no more but fell gloriously fighting for his Country-saying better to die honourably in the field than ignominiously hang upon the Gallows. Great is our Loss. He has distinguished himself in every engagement, by his courage and fortitude, by animating the Soldiers and leading them on by his own Example. A particuliar account of these dreadful, but I hope Glorious Days will be transmitted you, no doubt in the exactest manner.
The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong-but the God of Israel is he that giveth strength and power unto his people Trust in him at all times ye people pour out you hearts before him. God is a refuge for us. Charlstown is laid in ashes. The Battle began upon our intrenchments upon Bunkers Hill, a Saturday morning about 3 o’clock and has not ceased yet and tis now 3 o’clock Sabbath afternoon.
Tis Expected they will come out over the Neck to night, and a Dreadful Battle must ensue. Almighty God cover the heads of our Country men, and be a shield to our Dear Friends. How mandy have fallen we know not; The constant roar of the cannon is so distressing that we cannot Eat Drink of sleep. May we be supported and sustaind in the dreadful conflict. I shall tarry here till tis thought unsafe by my Friends, and then I have secured myself a retreat at your brothers who has kindly offerd me part of is house, I cannot compose my self to write any further a present. I will add more as I hear further-

Spelling mistakes are not my fault! I just had to get that out there.

And now ensued one of the greatest scenes of war that can be conceived

Day 169

“And now ensued one of the greatest scenes of war that can be conceived. If we look to the heights, Howe’s corps ascending the hill in the face of entrenchments and in a very disadvantageous ground was much engaged. To the left the enemy pouring in fresh troops  by the thousands over land and in the arm of the sea our ships and floating batteries cannonading them. Straight before us a large and noble town in one great blaze. The church steeples being of timber were great pyramids of fire above the rest. Behind us the church steeples and heights of our own camp, covered with spectators. The hills around the country covered with spectators. The enemy all in anxious suspense. The roar of cannon, mortars and musketry, the crash of churches, ships upon the stocks and whole streets falling together in ruins to fill the air; the storm of the redoubt… filled the eye and the reflection that perhaps defeat was a final loss to the British Empire of America to fill the mind, make the whole a picture a complication of horror and importance beyond anything that ever came to my lot to witness to.”

In honer of Father's day

Day 168

This is in honer of Father's day which is tomorrow and for which I already have a quote I was planning on doing so I did this one a day early.

“I almost envy your children the happiness of calling that man their father who After contributing his share towards giving liberty and Independence, will finally be honored as the instrument of restoring Peace to the united States of America.”

A Committee of five

Day 163

Thomas Jefferson thought that John Adams should write the Declaration of Independence and John Adams thought the opposite. This is conversation that John Adams remembered.

“Why will you not?” Jefferson asked “You ought to do it.”
    “Reasons enough.”
    “What can be your reasons?”
“Reason 1st, you are a Virginian, and a Virginian ought to appear at the head of this business. Reason 2nd I am obnoxious, suspected, and unpopular. You are very much otherwise. Reason 3rd you can write ten times better than I can.”

Like the cover of an old book,

Day 162

"THE BODY of BENJAMIN FRANKLIN Printer
Like the cover of an old book,
Its contents torn out,

And stripped of its lettering and gilding

Lies here, food for worms;

Yet the work itself shall not be lost,

For it will (as he believed) appear once more,
In a new,

And more beautiful edition,
Corrected and amended
By the AUTHOR

Erin said something the other day that made me think about this.
I had read it a long time ago and thought it was funny.
So here it is manly for Erin to read.
