In those days...

In those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered.
2This was the first registration when Quirinius was governor of Syria.
3And all went to be registered, each to his own town.
4And Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the town of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David,
5to be registered with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child.
6And while they were there, the time came for her to give birth.
7And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn. The Shepherds and the Angels
8And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.

9And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with fear.
10And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.
11For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
12And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.”
13And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying,

 14 “Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!”

15When the angels went away from them into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let us go over to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has made known to us.”
16And they went with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby lying in a manger.
17And when they saw it, they made known the saying that had been told them concerning this child.
18And all who heard it wondered at what the shepherds told them.
19But Mary treasured up all these things, pondering them in her heart.
20And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it had been told them.

How many

Day 353

"How many observe Christ’s birth-day! How few, his precepts! O! ’tis easier to keep Holidays than Commandments."

Give this Christmas Away!

A few days ago we were putting up our Christmas tree and someone said we should play Matthew West's song 'Give this Christmas Away'.
I hide it well but I always get a little worried when someone wants to play a song for all of us because out of ten people there is almost always someone who doesn't like the song.
But we played it and to my happy relief I saw Daddy tapping his foot and at the end he was singing the refrain. Mommy said at the end that it was very pretty and everybody wanted to play it again.
It's a small thing a guess but it makes me happy when everybody likes a song. I can sit back and sing it as loud as I like and know that (except for my not-go-great singing voice) no one will mind.
So this is a great beginning to the best time of year. Starting November first and going though January first is the best time of year in my opinion.

Well Bye,

Too long

Sorry it has been way to long since I posted anything, but I've been a little busy making Christmas presents.
But I took a little time to post a few pictures of what we've been doing over the Christmas season.

This is at the walk-through nativity we went to at a church near us.

It was a very nice night, just cold enough to be Christmasy but but not freezing and we had a lot of fun!

 Michael just loved it!

Purple and Pike baby are also enjoying the Christmas season. They got stuffed with know fluff and got a bath and the look (in the words of Tigger ) "good as knew, if your knew wasn't to good".

Christmas Tree!!!

Every one of us gets a chance at cutting the tree, as long as you don't cut too much (we have to stretch it out for eight people.)
So here are the pictures.

Well bye,
®achel

P.S. A quick story.
When we were cutting down the tree a little girl and her family walked by,  the little girl, when she saw us, told her little brother, "Look there getting a tiny tree." Our family got a good laugh at that one especially considering the time it took us to find that "tiny" tree.☺

Joy To The World!

 Just a Christmas song that I like and thought I would post.
I don't have a music video to go with it; you'll  just have to sing it yourself and imagine yourself a really good singer (like I do).

Joy to the world! the Lord is come;
Let earth receive her King;
Let every heart prepare him room,
And heaven and nature sing,
And heaven and nature sing,
And heaven, and heaven, and nature sing.

Joy to the world! the Savior reigns;
Let men their songs employ;
While fields and floods, rocks, hills, and plains
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat, repeat the sounding joy.

No more let sins and sorrows grow,
Nor thorns infest the ground;
He comes to make His blessings flow
Far as the curse is found,
Far as the curse is found,
Far as, far as, the curse is found.

He rules the world with truth and grace,
And makes the nations prove
The glories of His righteousness,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders, wonders, of His love.

Time for Christmas!!!

We went to the Christmas tree farm the day after Thanksgiving, and the hunt began.

The day was perfect for getting a Christmas tree. It was just cool enough to be Christmasy and yet still warm.

Michael was so cute carrying the saw,

But after awhile he went up to Daddy and said "You can carry this now." His way of saying I don't want it anymore.

Jamie and Sarah have been wearing matching clothes a lot lately and they are so cute, they look like twins.

It took a lot of tries to get this picture; Erin would not behave, I know that's a shocker.

And we all love the hay ride, it just wouldn't be the same without it.

It was a very fun day!!!

Well bye,

Always An Adventure!!!

For as long as I can remember, we have gone to a tree farm the day after thanksgiving, and cut down a Christmas tree.

But this year we watched the Auburn/Alabama football game,
(War Eagle!!!)

So we went to the tree farm the next day. We decided to tried a new farm and drove and drove and drove, when we finally got there we began to look around and to say things like "Where are all the cheap trees?" (all the trees where the really nice kind.)

So after looking for a while we road the wagon thing back to the car and loaded up.
Then came trying to get out of the "parking lot" (we had the trailer). But Daddy was able to do it and we were back on the road.
After a while Daddy pulled over and we had a vote we could either go to another tree farm and as Daddy said "I don't know when we might get back home" or we could go Lowes; something that most of us could not imagine doing.

Well the vote was for Lowes, so that we could put up the tree that night, so that's where we went and even though it was not the same, everything we do in our house is so much fun and we laugh so much that it really doesn't matter what is is.

Well bye,
®achel

P.S.
The tree looks even better in real life!
